Brian creates realistic paintings because he believes in the power of illusion. Each finished piece of his ultra realistic art is a composite of numerous places and experiences, things he has touched, felt and observed that have affected him and his view of the world in which we live. The principle concept behind his pieces is to invite the viewer in to participate in his vision, and take part in the illusions he creates. Brian works in egg tempera, which is a mixture of egg yolk and water, blended with pure powder pigment to create paint. Brian has been the recipient of many awards at local and national art shows.
